This is the first week since my May slump that I have busted ass consistently and I’ve also made some improvements of the quality of my personal life. It’s been good but I’m exhausted!

I’ve slacked off so damn much this week. I haven’t really cammed since Tuesday night and I hardly did any shows that night (’cause I was, ahem…too drunk). Shot no content Wednesday night. Slept last night ’cause I felt like doodoo. But today I did a handstand for the first time since I was a kid so things are looking up. 🙂 Which reminds me of pole class this past Saturday. My NYC Radiohead trip is in three weeks!!!! I can’t believe it. I can’t friggin’ wait! I’m still about $300 from my savings goal for the trip. Not too much to report this week. One of the most exciting things that happened this week was I discovered The Brian Jonestown Massacre and fell in love with them. I don’t know how I didn’t know about this band before I think they’re amazing.

They have a very broad sound. Reminds me of Velvet Underground or Pink Floyd where a lot of their songs sound different from one another. Good shit. They’re touring since they have a new album out. Hope to catch a show this summer.

The other exciting things were gifts! Special thanks goes out to a special someone who bought me TBJM’s Tepid Peppermint Wonderland cd compilation off of my wishlist today! Can’t wait until it gets here. I also have a french maid costume on the way!!

So I took my first pole dancing class last Saturday! I had fun while I was there. The studio is nice and some of the regular students seem cool. I was doing pretty well. It was just a basic class. I left feeling pretty pleased. I got a good upper body workout and I could tell I was going to have some bruises on my legs (I ended up with some gnarly ones), which I expected. However when I got home I looked at some YouTube tutorials for the one spin we were showed in class and saw that I was not doing it right, and that I could have avoided slamming my legs into the pole over and over again if I had been putting my hands in the right spot and not jumping up into the pole like I was. The bruises I got were in spots that probably wouldn’t have even touched the pole had I done the spin right. This kind of pissed me off as the instructor, who I didn’t really like that much, didn’t break down the move and tell us how to do it really. I had even asked her if I was doing it right and she watched me and didn’t point out what I was doing wrong. So I thought, “Godamn I paid for in person lessons and learned more from one YouTube vid.” She’s not the only instructor there though and they rotate on the weekends so I should be getting some better lessons, and if I get her again I’m going to make sure I get her to break down what she’s showing us instead of doing it then saying “Okay now you do it”.

Makes me realize how much I need to practice both at the studio and at home. I decided that I don’t want to fuck with the stupid plaster and lathe ceiling in my house with the stripper pole that I have now (that’s been in the box for over a year), and I want to go ahead and get one of these poles that comes with a base and doesn’t require a ceiling at all.

I’ve got 5 more classes paid for at the studio so if I keep feeling unimpressed when I leave, I may forego classes altogether and learn on my own at home. I’ve got some items on my wishlist that will help me with that. If any of you generous guys out there would want to buy me some of them you’d make me smile very hard! I could also hook you up with some videos or a membership to my Shakinit site for doing so. Even the foam roller and medicine ball are related. They’ll help me with warm ups and flexibility. So after feeling really good and excited about my new journey into pole dance, something terrible happens on Tuesday… I sneeze really hard. “Why was this so terrible?” you’re probably thinking. Well, I pulled a muscle in my lower abs doing so. Yeah seriously… wtf? I was really upset about this at first. I’m pretty much just getting over my hamstring pull from two months ago, have been paying a lot of attention to warming up before I workout to avoid injuries, and I fucking pull something sneezing. 3 days later though it seems to have improved quite a bit. I’ve been icing it and taking arnica tablets as well as applying it topically. I don’t think this is going to be something that sets me back too much. I’m going to skip pole class this weekend though (sad face) just to be safe. I certainly don’t want to make things worse.

Didn’t shoot much content this week from the combination of the pulled muscle and being a little burnt from the tanning bed, I just wasn’t feeling it Wednesday night. I did make a new fetish video though where I talk about the bruises I got from pole class! You can find it on Clips4Sale.

The most exciting event of my week so far. He was out in my lawn with no nest in sight. There was a big bush next to where he was but I didn’t see a nest in it at all. I left it alone for a while, then looked online to see what to do. One site said to make a little makeshift nest and hang it near the real nest. So I rigged up what you see in the pic and hung it from the bush that was nearby. This just didn’t seem like it was going to be good for the little guy though so I called some wildlife rehab volunteers in the area and they told me the best thing to do would be to bring him to a nearby vet so I did just that. They took down my info and said that if they rehab animals they like to return them to where they came from. I hope the little guy is still kicking!

My kettlebell weight that I ordered arrived this week. Not sure if I’ve mentioned it here before (it was on my wishlist for a while) but I had been wanting to try out kettlebells for quite some time. It came on Wednesday and I was so excited to try it out that I made a video of my first workout! It was kinda tough! I’m using a 15lb bell and following along with a dvd for beginners. Streamate was being really weird last night, and not just for me. Yeah this week has been kinda meh. Started off in just a crap mood and feeling down for no particular reason. Wednesday night was getting ready to cam and the power went out. Stayed out for hours so I wasn’t able to shoot any content this week. First week in a very long time that I hadn’t shot anything though so I guess it was a well deserved break. Last night a damn pipe busted under my house, but luckily it was all taken care of I really didn’t have to deal with it at all except for the inconvenience of having no running water overnight. My last two blog posts have started out with me complaining, but you know what? It’s my blog and I will whine if I want to!

This week may have been meh so far but I tell you what. My Mad Men get together Sunday night was great! All the food I made was yummy and enjoyed and so were our awesome cocktails. I’ve been using my cool new bar ware just about every night since too. I’ll have to have another cocktail party sometime soon since I know I’m a good hostess. Made homemade stuffing for the first time to go in the roast chicken I made. That shit was gooooood. So were the mushroom canapes. I made steak tartar but after getting stoned we were all kinda iffy about eating that, haha. I did end up eating some after I got good and drunk though. It was yum, and the leftovers made really good meatballs.

This weekend I plan to cam tonight and tomorrow night. Off Sunday, during which I will be watching some more Mad Men and Shameless!! I think it may be the season finale of Shameless this week. Last week’s episode was fucking amazing.

Well I’ve been back for a week but have been too damn busy to post a blog! Had an awesome, awesome time in Atlanta. Went down to see Radiohead of course and the hotel and part of town I stayed in were great. Had a little mini vacation. Didn’t want to leave! I took a few phone pics while down there, not many. Went on a vinyl mini shopping spree. There were two record stores within walking distance of where I was staying and one a short drive away. Here’s what I picked up:

The view from our seats as people were coming in before the opener, Other Lives, who were fantastic by the way. The place filled up of course for Radiohead. I couldn’t get any good shots after the lights went down. No decent zoom on my phone, and I was too mesmerized to worry about taking pictures anyway.

It was a good show. It was my first Radiohead show. I cried when they first came out on stage, and once again when they played a song that tugs at my heart strings. They’re amazing musicians, obviously. I’ve been a little jealous of the sets that they’ve played since Atlanta. So naturally I was stoked to find out on Monday that they announced northeast dates!! Pre-sale was Wednesday night (well technically Thursday morning but they don’t tell you when) and I stayed up basically the whole night to try and get some but it was a fucking mess and I ended up with nothing. Now I have to try Ticketbastard in the morning. Send good ticket getting vibes my way please!! I’m a nervous wreck about it. I did well with Ticketmaster for Atlanta but I’m still losing my mind over it.

Now that I’m back in the swing of things I’ve shot new content. Quite a bit of it. Mostly ass shaking videos, but I also shot two new fetish videos.
