Today is Labor Day for us Americans and ‘Labour Day’ for the Canadians.  The day is just about over right now but I’m up late laboring away!  We’re supposed to celebrate the economic and social contributions of workers today. I took some time to think about this. All of the people out there who work. I hope you thought about it too. I especially hope you thought about us in the adult business. The strippers, the camgirls, the porn stars, the adult models, the escorts, etc. Some may not think of this as a job but it is, and a tough one that we take seriously. I didn’t get to where I am in the camming world today without much hard work and professionalism, and that can be said for so many other men and women in the biz. You may not have thought about this during your holiday, but think about it now. Take some time to appreciate not only what we do for you as the customer but what we do for the economy, and the blood sweat and tears we pour into our business. The risks we take just being in the business alone. We work hard so you can fap!

I hope you all had a nice long weekend that were off, and for those of you like me that worked the whole time, I feel you. To all my fellow adult workers out there, be proud of what you do.

I had SO much fun in NYC. It was all I hoped for and more. The Radiohead show in Newark was of course mind blowing. They played both How to Disappear Completely and Paranoid Android. If you’re a Radiohead fan you know this is a huge deal!! I was down on the floor pretty close to the stage too it was just fantastic. Look forward to seeing them again sometime.

I didn’t get to do quite all of the things that I wanted to in the city but it’s really hard to cover everything in a day and a half. Godamn is that city huge! I did get to visit the Guggenheim, smoke a joint in central park, see the Dakota building & the new world trade center being built, eat at Sardi’s, go to a strip club, and step in puke waiting for the subway. We walked all over so I got to see things along the way like grand central station and all of Times Square ’cause we stayed a half a block outside of it. Got caught in the rain at Madison Square Garden then walked back to the hotel in it. Instead of going straight home Sunday we drove to Brooklyn to have lunch. I’m glad we did that. Ate at Diner in Williamsburg I highly recommend that place. I cannot friggin’ wait to go back I love it. I belong there!!

So I took my first pole dancing class last Saturday! I had fun while I was there. The studio is nice and some of the regular students seem cool. I was doing pretty well. It was just a basic class. I left feeling pretty pleased. I got a good upper body workout and I could tell I was going to have some bruises on my legs (I ended up with some gnarly ones), which I expected. However when I got home I looked at some YouTube tutorials for the one spin we were showed in class and saw that I was not doing it right, and that I could have avoided slamming my legs into the pole over and over again if I had been putting my hands in the right spot and not jumping up into the pole like I was. The bruises I got were in spots that probably wouldn’t have even touched the pole had I done the spin right. This kind of pissed me off as the instructor, who I didn’t really like that much, didn’t break down the move and tell us how to do it really. I had even asked her if I was doing it right and she watched me and didn’t point out what I was doing wrong. So I thought, “Godamn I paid for in person lessons and learned more from one YouTube vid.” She’s not the only instructor there though and they rotate on the weekends so I should be getting some better lessons, and if I get her again I’m going to make sure I get her to break down what she’s showing us instead of doing it then saying “Okay now you do it”.

Makes me realize how much I need to practice both at the studio and at home. I decided that I don’t want to fuck with the stupid plaster and lathe ceiling in my house with the stripper pole that I have now (that’s been in the box for over a year), and I want to go ahead and get one of these poles that comes with a base and doesn’t require a ceiling at all.

I’ve got 5 more classes paid for at the studio so if I keep feeling unimpressed when I leave, I may forego classes altogether and learn on my own at home. I’ve got some items on my wishlist that will help me with that. If any of you generous guys out there would want to buy me some of them you’d make me smile very hard! So after feeling really good and excited about my new journey into pole dance, something terrible happens on Tuesday… I sneeze really hard. “Why was this so terrible?” you’re probably thinking. Well, I pulled a muscle in my lower abs doing so. Yeah seriously… wtf? I was really upset about this at first. I’m pretty much just getting over my hamstring pull from two months ago, have been paying a lot of attention to warming up before I workout to avoid injuries, and I fucking pull something sneezing. 3 days later though it seems to have improved quite a bit. I’ve been icing it and taking arnica tablets as well as applying it topically. I don’t think this is going to be something that sets me back too much. I’m going to skip pole class this weekend though (sad face) just to be safe. I certainly don’t want to make things worse.

Didn’t shoot much content this week from the combination of the pulled muscle and being a little burnt from the tanning bed, I just wasn’t feeling it Wednesday night. I did make a new fetish video though where I talk about the bruises I got from pole class! You can find it on Clips4Sale.

They took down my info and said that if they rehab animals they like to return them to where they came from. I hope the little guy is still kicking!

My kettlebell weight that I ordered arrived this week. Not sure if I’ve mentioned it here before (it was on my wishlist for a while) but I had been wanting to try out kettlebells for quite some time. This week has been pretty good (No whining and complaining from me this time). 🙂

Started it off by signing up for pole dancing classes! I’ve been meaning to do something like this for only about two damn years. Got a pole for the house back in like October ’10 and still ain’t put the damn thing up yet. The studio here in town was running a special of 3 classes for half off, so I grabbed two passes. I now have 6 classes to take and I won’t be stopping there! I might start as soon as next Saturday. I’m stoked!

I of course plan to incorporate my skills into my videos that I put up on Shakinit and elsewhere. Not sure how long it will take me to be good enough at it. More motivation to get that pole up in my kitchen, ha. I also may do some pole cam shows! Imagine that…

I pulled a damn hamstring doing the splits while shooting a video for Shakinit Wednesday night. Now this was not the first time I had done the splits but I got a little over zealous.
